Update!!! (Posted Nov. 16th)

Boys,

The tourney is almost a month away and things are falling into place. There’s a few things to clean up but that shouldn’t take too long. All teams must send their final rosters (if you haven’t done so already) to me by Tuesday the 22nd, no later. This should at least include player name, position, and year last attended @ CPA. You are welcome to include info such as captain, weight, height, and a brief player bio. I will do my best to incorporate such info into the program. If you haven’t paid ur money (u know who u are- u have til weekend’s end)

The Riverside that evening is still a go and I would really appreciate all teams partaking in the evening. I will be getting all the details today regarding time, drink specials etc. Geoff Campbell will do what he does best and MC the beginning of the night. Prizes will be awarded to certain individuals and the championship team.

Lets also not forget about the foodbank and ensure we all bring non-perishable food items on game day. If anyone you know is planning to come watch, tell them the cause and have them bring some as well. We will have a large cheque on site, showing our contribution to the Metro Foodbank.

Like last year I would ask that all teams donate some sort of prize to the tourney as well. Ask around on ur team, someone should have something they can donate for a prize. If not ask a local business for a gift certificate or something. If you explain the cause, I’m sure people wont have a problem helping out. Last year we did a good job finding prizes, let’s see if we can do it again. If people who are going to sponsor/donate to the tourney, please notify me asap so we can give them recognition on the sponsorship banner, the program, and at the Riverside.

I would like to thank the following individuals, who have so far been a big help:

Geoff Campbell (big help all-around), Dave Brien (Spring Rain & Nova Trophy), Tom Drummey (Audio), Andrew Smith (Banners), Joey Montgomery (Cleve’s), Jason Vallis (Nets), Ryan Slaney (website)
If I’ve missed anyone I apologize………
I will talk to you all soon and please get everything into me on time,
Regards,

Mike

Directions to Venue: Go through Bayers Lake all the way down past the Tim Horton’s / Wendy’s near the back of the park. When you pass Tim’s, take a right at the lights…then keep going straight until you get there (about 5 mins). It’s in Beechville and you will see the tennis / road hockey courts on the left hand side. They are across from a Needs store. If you get lost you can call Geoff Campbell @ 877-6555 or Mike McPherson @ 483-2840.

PS If you get lost, keep in mind that you are an idiot.
